You can't judge the bike on the amount of tinkering that the enthusiasts do.... If so, I guess all Harleys are lemons, and Goldwings too! I'm not trying to be insulting here at all- if you like something else, ride it- as long as you ride!
My biggest concern is that we aren't scaring folks away from this bike. At $4,000, I think it is a steal. Sure, I could spend $20k on a Harley and have a big twin, (or, for that matter, a couple billion on a stealth fighter and have jet engines and a cannon) but the point is that we didn't go that route. We like the style, the sound, the feel, and the tinkering on these little hogs.
If anyone out there is considering getting one, take a look at the whole picture, and ride the dern thing! Don't let this forum make your mind up one way or the other. The only way this forum should influence a purchase is that the purchaser knows he has an on-line independant tech support group ready to help.
